Beaux Freres

Since their first vintage in 1991, the Beaux Frères philosophy remains the same; to produce a world-class Pinot Noir from small, well-balanced yields and ripe, healthy fruit that represents the essence of their vineyard. Their winemaking philosophy is one of minimal intervention with clean fermentations utilizing indigenous yeast. These non-manipulative, uncompromising methods guarantee a wine that is the most natural and authentic vineyard expression possible.

CADE

CADE Estate Winery crafts estate Cabernet Sauvignon in a nuanced, powerful, and approachable style they call Modern Howell Mountain. They also produce Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon in the Bordeaux style, and Sauvignon Blanc.  CADE Estate Winery is the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certified estate winery in Napa Valley. 

 

 


CONTINUUM

Four generations of the Mondavi family have grown and produced wines among the world’s finest. Cesare Mondavi was the first to bring wine to the table but it was his son Robert’s passion for excellence, which inspired both his family and the world. Tim and Marcia Mondavi, along with their children, maintain this continuum of excellence, innovation and tradition at their estate, high on Pritchard Hill. Their artistic wine is an expression of man's harmony with nature. The winegrower's art begins by finding a great site, then balancing the vine to the site, the fruit to the vine, the winemaking to the fruit and ultimately the wine to the table; all for the purpose of enhancing a great meal.


HITCHING POST

Hartley Ostini Hitching Post Wines are the creation of Gray Hartley and Frank Ostini, two friends that began making Santa Barbara, California wines in 1979. Hartley and Ostini strive to create handcrafted flavorful wines that possess poise and balance, successfully complementing the red oak grilled foods of Ostini’s restaurant, The Hitching Post II.  Hitching Post Wines are enjoyed by an audience that reaches around the globe who admire Santa Barbara wines for their fresh fruit, complexities of spice and earth, and refreshing acidity. Their mission is to put a slice of Santa Barbara in every glass and a piece of their soul in each bottle of Hitching Post Wine. 

 


LEWIS CELLARS

In 1992 Randy and Debbie Lewis established a small family winery in Napa Valley and were later joined by their son Dennis in 1999.

They are literally hands-on in every aspect of vineyard management, winemaking, sales and distribution, and they thrive on this challenge and the relationships they cultivate in the process. It is their continuing goal to create world-class wines. Their total production is approximately 9,000 cases annually of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

MELVILLE WINERY

Melville places great importance on being an “Estate” winery, meaning they work exclusively with fruit from vineyards that they own and tend to themselves, in addition to controlling all aspects of making and selling their wines. Their ultimate goal is to nurture the land, vines, and fruit in order to maintain the purest forms of each possible. As such, all of the most crucial work is done in the vineyard with a holistic approach. Farming aggressively, yet carefully, helps encourage the vines to produce small amounts of intensely concentrated fruit.

PAUL HOBBS IMPORTS

Paul Hobbs fell in love with Argentina on his first visit in 1988. The potential he saw in the terroir and especially in the human element, spurred his consulting career. Paul Hobbs Selections was founded in 1994 to bring to the US some of the wines he had a hand in creating.  His search for quality-obsessed, estate-driven and family-owned wineries that would complement Viña Cobos has led them to work with a select group of wineries from Argentina, Chile, Canada and France who work closely with Paul to represent a diverse selection of high-quality, terroir-representative wines in the US market.

PAUL HOBBS WINERY

Meticulous vineyard management followed by minimally-invasive winemaking techniques allows them to produce wines that express their vineyard origins with finesse, complexity and authenticity. Paul Hobbs wines are fermented with native yeasts, aged in French oak, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Their focus is crafting small production vineyard designate wines from distinctive growing sites.

As custodians of the earth, they respect Mother Nature and farm their estate vineyards sustainably to produce wines that reflect a sense of place.

PISONI VINEYARDS

Each year the Pisoni family produces just one wine under their name: Pisoni Estate Pinot Noir. Their wines are recognizable by intensity of character, deep color and remarkable textures—results of the mountainous landscape and low yields. More distinctive characteristics are found in the vibrant and exuberant aromatics—a result of the region’s cold winds and fog. The combination rewards them with exceptional and age-worthy Pinot Noir. Production of Pisoni Estate Pinot Noir is extremely limited and varies annually between 500-800 cases, depending on yields.

PLUMPJACK WINERY

Winemaker Aaron Miller and his team create the full-bodied, elegant wines that have earned PlumpJack high critical acclaim, including an Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Reserve Chardonnay, Napa Valley Syrah and Merlot. For each wine, Aaron selects methods that allow their vineyards to shine through. He monitors vines for peak ripeness, chooses fermentation in oak or stainless steel, and ages the wines in a variety of oak barrels from distinctive cooperages. Many of their bottlings—including half their Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve wines and Chardonnay—are topped with a screw-cap, a bold move that represents their commitment to quality as well as their spirit of approachability.

ROAR WINES

ROAR Wines is the realization of Franscioni Family's more than 100-year love affair with the Santa Lucia Highlands. It’s a relationship rooted in three generations of farming and nurtured today in a small portfolio of premium Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay and Viognier. In 2001, after years spent developing the pedigree of their vineyards with top-tier wineries, they launched ROAR Wines to showcase the signature flavors of their vineyards and Santa Lucia Highands in a small portfolio of single vineyard and appellated bottlings.

ROMBAUER VINEYARDS

The Rombauer philosophy hasn’t changed since their founding in 1980: They believe in doing everything in their power to produce the best wines possible. They embrace traditional and cutting-edge practices in the vineyard and cellar to make certain each wine gets the customized attention it needs.

This marriage of old and new begins with optical sorters, ensuring only the best fruit makes it into their wines. Guided by their passion and expertise, Rombauer spares no effort or expense to produce the finest wines each vintage offers.

SAXUM VINEYARDS

Saxum Vineyards is focused on producing Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre based blends from the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles. We let our rocky calcareous soils, steep hillsides, sunny days, and cooling ocean breezes speak through our wines by keeping our yields low, picking the fruit at the peak of ripeness, and using a minimalist approach in the cellar. We respect our land and farm everything sustainably without chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. Because our vine’s roots penetrate deep through the fissures in the calcareous soil irrigation is rarely needed. Production is kept at 4000-5000 cases a year.

SPOTTSWOODE

Spottswoode is a family-owned historic vineyard and winery renowned for its exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon. Established in 1882, the estate is distinguished by the pre-prohibition Victorian home depicted on the wine label. Every year four wines are released: Spottswoode Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Spottswoode Sauvignon Blanc, Lyndenhurst Cabernet Sauvignon, and Field Book Syrah. The Novak family is committed to producing wines with integrity that faithfully reflect their grape origins, and Spottswoode wines are especially known for their refined elegance, balance, and classic structure.


VILLA CREEK

Villa Creek makes wines that embody the character of the varieties and their unique vineyard sites while achieving harmony of aromas, flavors and texture. Grapes are farmed following sustainable, organic and/or biodynamic practices. The resulting wines show fruit, minerality, earth and soul.

Wines are gently nurtured through fermentation and élevage with native yeast, gentle aeration through pump-overs and délestage.  Aging is done in a combination of new French oak, custom made concrete tanks and stainless steel.
